Eccentric millionaire Fredrick Loren and his 4th wife, Annabelle, have invited 5 people to the house on Haunted Hill for a "haunted House" party. Whoever will stay in the house for one night will earn ten thousand dollars each. As the night progresses, all the guests are trapped inside the house with ghosts, murderers, and other terrors.

Whoever stays in the house for one night will earn $10,000. As the night progresses, the guests are trapped within the house with an assortment of terrors. This film is perhaps best known for its promotional gimmick Emergo, a flying skeleton. The film uses many props used in carnival haunted houses to generate fear and terror. The film is in the public domain. The film premiered in San Francisco on January 14, 1959.. In February, 1959, it played on a double bill with The Cosmic Man (1959).
