Isle Of The Dead (1945)

Isle of the Dead is a 1945 American horror film directed by Mark Robson, made for RKO Radio Pictures by producer Val Lewton and starred Boris Karloff. It follows General Nikolas Pherides, who visits a Greek island during the Balkan Wars to pay respects to his deceased wife. When a plague breaks out, he and a group of people become trapped, leading to rising tensions and suspicions, particularly regarding a woman accused of being a vorvolaka, a malevolent spirit.
